#16750 new defect

VirtualBox GUI Crashed when cloning after upgrading to latest version

Reported by: Tomqwe Owned by:
Component: VM control Version: VirtualBox 5.1.22
Keywords: Cc:
Guest type: Windows Host type: Linux

Description

We upgrade the servers to CentOS Linux 6.9 2.6.32-696.1.1.el6.x86_64 with VirtualBox 5.1.22_115126_el6-1

Now when we try to clone a machine it crashes the GUI. All machines show "aborted" though they are running fine and each states the VirtualBox Critical Error. I'm attaching the error here.

PS We have 23 servers this happened on three of them then we stopped trying to clone in production. However we have two test boxes that we cannot reproduce the problem on. The difference is the machines it's happening on have 20-30 VMs on them and the test boxes just one or two.

No answer on this post at all so far. Noticed it happens on servers with more than 20 VMs

Please provide a core dump of such a crashed GUI process.

Actually the screenshot shows that this is a Guru Meditation, not a VM process crash. Therefore please attach the VBox.log file of such a VM session.
