Got an error message while attempting to install guest additions in a Fedora Rawhide guest for the 4.12.0-0.rc0.git2.1.fc27.x86_64 kernel.

vboxadd.sh: failed: Look at /var/log/vboxadd-install.log to find out what went wrong.

Similar for Fedora 25 with 4.10 kernel as a guest on Windows 7 64-bit host in VB 5.1.22. Edit: maybe something different, log is simple, sorry.

Replying to TimOr:

Similar for Fedora 25 with 4.10 kernel.

4.10 has built successfully since VB 5.1.16 (see https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/16298 ), 4.11 is also fixed (see https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/16506 ). You might be using an older version?

Latest 5.1 Guest Additions from our test build page should work fine with Linux 4.12-rc.

Confirming that guest additions appear to build normally when using VBoxGuestAdditions_5.1.23-115855.iso.

Appears fixed in 5.1.24 (tested with the 4.12.0-1.fc27.x86_64 kernel). Thanks!
