Description

Hi, right from clean install of 5.1.22, when I prepared initial config of Debian64 VM, I went to properties, wanted to delete IDE controller (optical disk) and use opt drive under existing SATA there, it crashed - and always crashes.

Well, same with 5.1.18, even on different (64bit) Win7 host.. Either Win7 Enterprise or Professional hosts. I would swear on my home Win7 Ent. 64bit it works, but can later check..

Well, reading now SATA on Wikipedia, this is about HDDs, not DVDs.. but still as you allow it (I can't quarrel much as Im not PC guru nor have special intention with this inside VM), why this happens.

AND NOW I KNOW : after deleting IDE controller, I used that blue icon "add new storage attachment", leading to a crash. Instead, using the above optical icon on highlighted SATA row worked, and drive was added.

Is this something principal or buggy indeed?

Finally, I need to increase "port count" to (e.g.) 2, and then the blue box icon works as well, same aim fulfilled as with optical icon..

So, fixing this somehow should not be any issue.
