    1111Also made sure that the user was added to vboxusers in /etc/group.
    1212Double checked permissions on .config/VirtualBox as well.

     14Edit: Running VirtualBox with sudo doesn't cause the problem. So there's a permission issue somewhere. I already double checked the home directory with find on uid or gid 0 files and fixed the hits it returned (not related to vbox).
