initial v1 7 7 VM window is some tiny value by default (maybe 50x100?). If auto-resize guest display is turned on, the window immediately reverts to this tiny value when changed. If auto-resize is turned off the window can be resized and the guest display stays at whatever the set value is. 8 8 9 This happens regardless of whether the 5.1.4 Guest Additions or Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack areinstalled.9 This happens regardless of whether the Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack is installed.
