Sound fails with VB 5.1.4 on MacOs 10.11.6(host) and 32 bit Fedora 24 (Guest)

Description
On a clean reboot sound is sometimes briefly available but quickly fails.

Virtualbox 5.1.4 breaks sound for me on Windows 7 and 8.1 hosts, with Fedora 24 guests (everything 64-bit).
Reverting to 5.0.26 fixes it, although I believe 5.1.2 also would fix it.
