Problem VirtualBox Manager uses some font, but not the system.

To reproduce, change system fort to Verdana for instance and start VirtualBox Manager. Font in VirtualBox Manager will be different.

Other application doesn't have this problem.

Thank you.

Most likely a Qt5 problem. Ubuntu/compatible 14.04 come with Qt 5.2.1 which is too old for VirtualBox. Therefore the trusty packages come with self-compiled Qt5 libraries which most likely use different pathes for plugins than the system-provided. I see only a low chance to fix this.

Thanks for the answer.

I understand that. Self-compiled Qt5 libraries is very good idea. But where is a configuration file for those customer who want to change the font. What happened to Trolltech.conf, is it difficult to check if this file does exist?

If developers decided to use Self-compiled Qt5 libraries, please provide configuration utility/menu or just plane text/xml file, to choose which font to use for GUI.

Thank you.

It's not that easy. Qt5 has most probably means to configure the font itself. The only question is: Where exactly. Qt4 came with qtconfig but AFAIK this doesn't work anymore for Qt5. So if someone wants to investigate (the Qt5 sources): We are happy for suggestions.
