Does it help if you do the following? Open a command line (cmd.exe) as Administrator:

cd \program files\oracle\virtualbox
vboxsvc /regserver

Then try to start VirtualBox.

This command i have not tried but i tried

Open a standard command line ( Run > cmd ) Run: cd C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox Run: VBoxSVC /ReRegServer Run: regsvr32 VBoxC.dll

with no effect :(

Now i am running with VirtualBox 4.3.12 Compatibility Mode Server 2008 and all VMs are working again with no problem. Any hints found according to the logs?

If you need additionally infos i can try reinstall again latest Vbox and try to sent you more informations.

Hi i applied the Tool from Tweaking.com and applied all corrections including chkdsk c: /r to all drives. Now it is working again with no problems. Ticket can be closed

cobra98, so you said that Windows Repair tool from tweaking.com has solved your issue with starting VirtualBox, did't you? it's interesting. Do you have any log file with your repairing results? or which registry keys related VirtualBox were removed/repaired/deleted/changed? I'll appreciate for such additional information.

The most recent 5.0 and 5.1 test builds for Windows contains code to detect a possible reason for this problem. All users who are affected by this problem, please install the latest 5.0.x or 5.1.x test build from above and try to start a VM. In case this still does not work there should be a more detailed error message.
