The USB specification (if I understand correctly; I didn't implement the device) can indirectly cause events which happen too fast to be lost, and I think this may be a result of how we handle that.

4		Yup, in fact I just verified this right now by uninstalling v5 and installing v4.3.40 r110317 (it installed this time, weirdly enough). Double-tap works just fine under USB Tablet as well as PS/2 Mouse. It's a version 5.0 problem and I don't see how it can be specific to PS/2 mice (though I obviously can't rule out two simultaneous bugs or something). That's why I'd feel if I had a git bisect I could narrow it down. :-)
