The icon is installing as "/usr/share/pixmaps/VBox.png". But a file virtualbox.desktop has string
Icon=virtualbox

Look under /usr/share/icons/hicolor/*/apps/virtualbox.png. Generally, "Linux host" is not a very helpful description here, as what is important is the desktop environment. Could you please provide more details, and upload a log file? If the files I mentioned are present I may also ask you to contact the maintainers or forums of your desktop environment to ask why they are not being found.
