Description

Windows 8.1 (6.3.9600) with 4.3.22 fails to PXE boot. Steps to reproduce:

  • Create VM (Win 2012 64bit) with everything default
  • Change network adapter 1 from NAT to Bridged
  • Start and press F12
  • Select LAN (l) as boot device

When doing so, it fails to PXE boot. Error message is:

FATAL: Could not read from the boot medium! System halted.

Downgrading to 4.3.20 enables PXE boot again

VirtualBox runs on an HP Elitebook 8560p with an Intel 82579 LM Gigabit adapter.
