Upgrading from VirtualBox 4.3.12 to 4.3.20 crashes Windows 8.1 64 bit

Description
After upgrading from VirtualBox 4.3.12 to 4.3.20 and restarting Windows,
the computer hangs before login with "Please Wait" and a
spinning circle. Had to perform a system restore to recover. I have
attempted the installation twice to confirm the problem. Also found
others who've experienced the issue here:

I will also attempt to attach a text file with my system specs.
