#13570 closed defect (fixed)

Forwarded TCP port disappears, until deleted/created again in GUI => Fixed in SVN

Reported by: noop Owned by:
Component: network/NAT Version: VirtualBox 4.3.18
Keywords: port forwarding Cc:
Guest type: Windows Host type: Windows

Description

I had 3 TCP ports forwarded from Win2012server VM to Win7 host. Ports were related to Solarwinds SAM. 8787 for web access, 17777 for internal API, 17778 for SOAP API over HTTPS. Windows Firewall turned off on both host and VM as it created problems before. Made a snapshot, reverted to it, while debugging my application, and suddently 17778 port disappeared on the host OS. Unable to connect to it, not shown by netstat, but still opened inside VM.

Rebooting host and VM did not solve the problem. Was able to solve it by deleting and re-creating corresponding line in network configuration dialog.

This is all I found in logs:

00:00:18.777120 NAT: set redirect TCP host port 17778 => guest port 17778 @ 10.0.2.15
00:00:18.777157 NAT: failed to redirect TCP 17778 => 17778
