VirtualBox fails to update/install on Mavericks 10.9.4

I'm filling this bug request after trying to update my VirtualBox 4.3.12 installation to the new 4.3.16 version.

I ran the uninstalling tool twice, and then tried to install the pkg. The installer threw this error:

After reading some threads, I've tried logging in and out, rebooting, shutting down and powering on again, and even tried with 4.3.12 again with the same result.

Also, as the installation always creates a corrupt file at /Applications, I've tried to uninstall it via AppCleaner, always with the same result.

So, now I'm unable to install VirtualBox
