CentOS 7 Image hangs virtualbox 4.3.14

Description
I tried to boot up a brand new CentOS 7 box with my brand new install of VirtualBox. After the CD boots and you get the initial options any further option from there just get a black screen and nothing else.
I even tried the ASCII install option.
Host: Windows 8.1 x64 Guest: CentOS 7 (didn't get far enough for a architecture)

Any improvement with VBox 4.3.16? If not, please attach a VBox.log file from such a VM session.
