Share file invisible -> Fixed in 1.6

I installed a Win XP Pro guest on Mac OS X host. I shared a folder via VirtualBox after installing the additional guests addons. When I connect on my guest, I can't see any share folder. When I look the network places, there's nothing. I tried also to create a link with this command line : net x: \vboxsrv\shared but the vboxsrv was not found... So I don't know how to find my share folder...

If you named the share 'shared' and you rebooted the guest after installing the guest additions, then it should work with the net command as you specified.

Hi, I have a folder name Shared in the folder Users of my mac. I restarted the guest and everything and I don't see it. I tried to ping the vboxsrv from the guest and it was not found also.

I tried really everything now. And it's still impossible to find a shared folder between my Mac OS host and my WinXP guest. I have another problem with the USB. When I connect an USB device, I've got an error saying there's a conflict or something like that. So what can I do ? I read the manual twice, and I can't find something wrong in my installation. I think I'll install windows with boot camp and I'll wait for a new release of virtualbox.

Shared Folders and USB isn't working in the beta 3. Please have a look at ​http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=4386 for some hints of transferring files from the host to the guest. Shared Folders & USB will be working in the next upcoming release 1.6.
