    11Ah, no, indeed. It's rejecting an Explorer extension. Had to look in the VBoxStartup.log file which I just learned is separate from the VBox.log file and it not listed in the "show log" dialog box. What a stupid hassle. 
     2edit: I mean, the whole process (including setting up a certificate) has felt like a needless waste of time. The fact that the log isn't listed with the others is only a minor thing.

    34I'm not feeling particularly "safe" now from an unspecified threat that Oracle won't even tell me about. I'm just feeling annoyed. RIP, Sun.
