3D bugs in Vbox 4.3.10: black screen and shutdown problems

Description
With 3D enabled, applications using 3D (e.g. Norton Internet Security) appear as black squares when Vbox is not in full screen mode or the complete screen turns black when Virtualbox runs in full screen mode. Other programs like Adobe Reader XI crash when displaying 3D content. Additionally, Windows XP cannot shutdown properly but Vbox hangs on shutdown.
When I disable 3D in Vbox options the problems don't appear.
System: Dell Optiplex 9020 with AMD Radeon HD 8570 Host OS: Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit Guest OS: Win XP Pro (SP 3) 32 bit Guest additions: v4.3.10 installed in Safe Mode with 3D option selected
