Assigning guest memory of 2048MB will not work on a box with only 2038MB installed and the GUI should have warned you before. The error message (Guru Meditation) is not appropriate in that case but that's another bug mentioned elsewhere. Decrease the amount of guest RAM and you will be most likely able to start your VM. I guess that assigning more than 768MB RAM to your guest will not work. Better start with 512MB.
