Reported by: | denZXabc | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | GUI | Version: | VirtualBox 4.3.8 |
Keywords: | mini toolbar | Cc: | |
Guest type: | Windows | Host type: | Windows |
Description
In fullscreen mode mini toolbar gets activated too early. It hinders when operation with task bar in the bottom of screen. Older versions of VirtualBox had activation area at the very bottom of screen so it did not interfere with task bar of guest OS. Hosts: Windows 7, Windows 8.1 Guest: Windows XP

This is also an issue on the top of the screen where it prevents manipulation of guest windows title bars.

I'd like to add that when you try to click anywhere in that area, then the guest does not receive the click, even if the mini toolbar is sliding up/down and not yet under the mouse. Essentially, that whole area is unclickable in the guest. Still present in 4.3.12.

This appears to be fixed in version 5.0.20 (at least for a Windows 7 host and an Arch Linux KDE guest).

Works properly since some fiveish version. Definitely works ok in 5.1+. Please close the ticket.
