No audio - ALSA

Description
No audio in Win XP Pro guest when ALSA selected. ALSA had worked flawlessly in prior version. ALSA works fine in Ubuntu host.
OSS does work (using emulation within ALSA). However the OSS emulation has transient static.
Hardware & Host Information: Ubuntu Gusty 7.10 GNOME 2.20.1 Toshiba Satellite laptop A75-S1253 M-Audio MobilePre IXP150 AC'97 Audio Controller ALSA output to M-Audio MobilePre RS300M AGP [Radeon Mobility 9100IGP] Mobile Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.2 GHz RAM: 1.1 GB Free disk space: 27.2 GB
Guest: Windows XP Pro SP2
Two logs attached. One is VirtualBox run with ALSA selected and the other with OSS selected.

So far no idea, your you files do not show any anomaly. The prior version your tested was 1.5.4, right? Are you sure that your mixer is set correctly (sorry, I have to ask this question)?

I'm sorry I have to reply that the mixer settings were incorrect. Thought sure I checked them several times. Please accept my apoligies for taking up your time on an issue I should have found myself. How dreadfully embarrassing. When I read your reply, I though Oh, I'll humour Frank and have a look.
