Description
The Slackware-14.1 Install DVD crashes during bootup. The bootloader runs and it starts to boot up. NOTE: The DVD works fine under VirtualBox-4.2.16 . I have tried both the 32-bit and 64-bit DVD ISO Images. http://www.slackware.com/getslack/ I have attached the vbox log file.

Could you attach the VBox.log just for completeness?

VBox.log with Host = Seven 64. I added a banner at Kernel Panic time.

I have the same problem using Slackware 14.1 DVD as a guest and upgrading from VirtualBox 4.2.12 to VirtualBox 4.3.4. I had to recompile the linux kernel which is 3.10.17 and not compile in Intel pstate. The config flag is CONFIG_X86_INTEL_PSTATE. I was able to boot up properly using this kernel modification. I will also attach the output from the kernel when it panics with the stock 3.10.17 kernel provided by slackware.

Kernel output - Linux.3.10.17 - Stock Slackware 14.1 64bit
A #GP while reading this MSR (Turbo Ratio limits). Most likely this is the problem. I'm downloading the ISO. Will give it a whirl once it's done.
