Ah, I see you did not attach the log files to #12218. Please describe what caused this error to occur. It may simply be the guest operating system you installed doing something silly.
You should get e-mail notification every time this ticket is updated.

I am having this same exact problem. I installed VirtualBox 4.3.0 today and created two VMs. The first was Linux Mint 15 (64 bit). I couldn't get it to boot at all and it kept crashing. I nuked it and then created one with Ubuntu 13.10 (64 bit). I can get it to boot, but it crashes 3 times out of 4. The logs look like the above and I will see if I can attach them. It really makes me think that it is 4.3 that is unstable.

VB version: 4.3.0 r89960 (also happens on version 4.3.2 r90405), Host: Windows 7 64bit Home Premium (yes, I'm doing this at home), Guest: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64bit. Whenever I do anything after installing Ubuntu, whether restarting, or even if it works for a little, activating root, adding VB package, or installing guest additions will give this error. Sometimes it would randomly work and load, but a majority of the time it would crash. I have multiple crash logs from each above circumstance, but I'll just post one from each versions of VirtualBox. First will be from v4.3.0 and the second from v4.3.2.

I have the same Problem with Ubuntu 12.04 32Bit on version 4.3.2 r90405. I have several VMs which worked under version 4.2.16 and after update to 4.3.2 they annot start anymore because of the upper described error.

VB on Win7 trying to lauch Debian 7.2 x86

Same problem for me, too. I installed 4.3.2 but failed to boot after the GRUB salutation (before GRUB initializes). I had to downgrade to 4.2.18 in order to be able to launch Debian 7.2 (stable). Something was definitely broken in the VirtualBox update. Please see enclosed the log file (TES-...).

Yes , Same trouble for me but only on AMD machine (On Intel seems to work fine). Host: Windows7 64, AMD 64Bit A6-5400K , VBox Version 4.3.2. I tried guests : Ubuntu 12.04 server , Ubuntu 13.10 desktop, Linux Mint 15 Olivia. Installation ok - then can't boot and window with 'buddha' thinking.
After downgrade to VirtualBox version 4.2.18 : OK

I was told to report my problem here:
Hi,
after using VirtualBox successfull on my old win xp pc with several guests, I installed it on my new win7 pc.
I installed an ubuntu and a zentyal server, using an iso as virtual cd; no problems.
On the first day, all worked fine after install, too: restart the virtual servers, work with them ...
But since yesterday I get a guru meditation in 9 out of 10 times.
I deleted the whole server installations. deinstalled VirtualBox. Re-Installed. New virtual servers build, install from the iso worked fine. But after first restart: guru meditation Sometimes 2 out of 10, the virtual server freezes only with a black screen and a prompt in the top-left corner.
I tried it with only 512MB RAM, with 2500MB, 1000MB ...

Having similar problem: HOST: Ubuntu 13.10 64 VIDEO: Nvidia Card but using default ubuntu driver Gallium 0.4 on NVC1 VB: 4.3.2 r90405 GUEST: win7 32bit
On a fresh guest install, my wiin7 guest comes up with no issues After Windows update, I get the errors as described in this ticket: "...00:00:11.992465 Not in text mode! 00:00:11.992465 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 00:00:11.992465 emR3Debug: rc=VINF_EM_TRIPLE_FAULT 00:00:12.991771 Changing the VM state from 'RUNNING' to 'GURU_MEDITATION'...."
I 'De-selected' 3D Accelleration in the VB settings (kept 2D) and the error went away...
I will attempt to load NVIDIA driver on HOST, then re-enable 3D in VB and see the result to the win7 client boot...

Well before I made any changes...windows update (the guest) did a .net framework UPDATE. I shutdown, then re-SELECTED 3D in the VB settings...and I did NOT change the host video driver (still default)... NO MORE error on VB bootup....
Flakey....??
