Description
Hello, I have VirtualBox 4.2.10 + extension pack running on a RHEL 6.3 host. This VirtualBox runs two VMs with similar configurations:
- fedora 18 + guest additions 4.2.10
- windows 7 + guest additions 4.2.10
In the windows 7 VM, the USB does not work if the VM uses a virtio network card (nothing happens when attaching an USB device to the VM and there is no error message). Everything is fine if the VM uses a 82545EM network card.
In the fedora 18 VM, the USB works whatever the network card is used.

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
The described bug comes from the virtio-net driver used by Windows 7. I was sure this driver came with the VirtualBox guest additions. In fact this driver was added to our custom installer from the KVM windows guest drivers. So this bug does not concern VirtualBox. Could you please close this ticket. Sorry for this mistake.
