when opening the VirtualBox GUI it just hangs and consumes 100% CPU time.

Looking at the logfile *~/Library/VirtualBox/VBoxSVC.log* I can observe the following (repeating)

I removed the affected machine and the GUI works again.
 
If a medium cannot be attached this should result in an error for the affected machine but not hang the whole GUI which results in a denial of service.

Fixing this behaviour will definitely improve the user experience.
