Description
After saving the machine state of my Ubuntu 12.10 VM, restoring it produces the saved UI (full screen), but is completely unresponsive. I initially thought the VM was hung, but it did respond to sending it the ACPI shutdown.

Please reopen if still relevant with VBox 4.3.20 with installed Guest Additions 4.3.20.

This still occurs with Guest Additions 4.2.18. It happens every time I restore from saved.
I experimented a bit, and found that if I changed screen size, going from full screen to windowed, and then resized that window, the screen became responsive again. It responded to mouse clicks, and the clock updated. But nothing I could do in full screen mode would cause the screen to go active. Only resizing the screen would trigger some event that caused the display to return to normal.
While hardly a show-stopper, it is quite annoying. The actual effect on VBox use is that I shut down every time. Inconvenient, but prior to discovering how to unfreeze the display, it was my only option.
