Startup W2K guest very slow after upgrading guest additions to V4

Reported by: rkbwde Owned by:
Component: guest additions Version: VirtualBox 4.2.4
Keywords: Cc:
Guest type: Windows Host type: Linux

Description

After upgrading guest additions to V4.2.4, bootup of a Windows 2000 guest takes 2 minutes instead of 10 seconds. It hangs a very long time after displaying "preparing network connections". I tried several network configurations with guest additions V4.2.4, but to no avail.

Workaround: downgrade guest additions to V3.2.14
