I tried '''showkeys''' on a Linux guest's tty and the keypresses were not being received at all. I'm attaching the '''Xmodmaprc''' file with which I customize my keyboard (works flawlessly on the host). The keys that VirtualBox won't send are '3' and 'à' (the host's keyboard has an Italian layout). Whether they are pressed alone or with any modifier, doesn't change the fact that the keypresses for those 2 keys aren't being sent to the guest. Removing the xmodmap command from my '''~/.xinitrc''' fixes the problem, but then the layout is ""wrong"" (i.e.: not the one I like to use).
