host - Windows XP SP3 I've installed a few days ago Ubuntu 12.04 DVD (using VirtualBox-4.1.16), I turned on dowloading from internet while installing and non-free packets installation (mp3 etc). Played a sudoku once after the installation. Today I installed VirtualBox-4.1.18 and saw Ubuntu suggested an update, I agreed. After a while an error of VirtualBox showed.

This error is not nice but it actually just means that VBox was not able to allocate more memory on your Windows host. There are other tickets describing this problem. Decreasing the RAM setting in your VM should help. We also have reports that some tools on the host, e.g. 'prio' make VirtualBox fail with this condition.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
