I have had runned a Ubuntu12.10-Quantal pre alpha on in updated to 11.5.2012. 

The saving of the guest failed with an error messages that to fast disappers as that I could recognized what I tolds. The VirtualBox GUI shows a normal guest saved symbol.

A restoring try gives only a black screen.
