Symantec Endpoint Protection breaks virtual Windows XP

Description
When rebooting the Win XP guest after installing Symantec Endpoint Protection, XP fails to load returning "sghires.dll could not be found".
My host is Linux Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
I've copied the virtual image file to a Mac OS 10.7.3 and executing virtualbox here, the XP guest loads and operates ok with Symantec Endpoint Protection.
