Ticket #10472 (closed defect: obsolete)
Virtualbox unable to distinguish multiple host physical interfaces with the same device name
|Reported by:||msimonsen||Owned by:|
If the Windows VirtualBox host has two or more physical interfaces with the same device name, not connecition name, VirtualBox is unable to tell these apart. This is evident in the Bridge adapter settings dialogue where only the first of the physical cards on the host is available to select. A test has been performed by manually renaming the network device in the Windows registry. After doing so Virtualbox was immediately able to display both cards and either one could be used for bridge networking.
