As at least one service that is accessed directly by IP address is affected, it is not just DNS, it is all network access. I believe this happens after resuming from hibernate. That has been the case recently. I could not guarantee that it has always been the case. I have previously resolved this problem by rebooting the host, however, recently I noticed that the network seemed to recover between shutting down VirtualBox and rebooting. Today I had the same issue and I was able to get the host network working again by stopping the Virtualbox guest. After restarting the VirtualBox guest the host network is still working normally. My network settings are bridged networking, via a wireless adapter, identifying itself as ""Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 AGN"". The host OS is win 7 32 bit.
