Description
running vboxmanage hostonlyif create returns:
VBoxManage: error: Argument *aHostNetworkInterface is NULL VBoxManage: error: Details: code NS_ERROR_INVALID_ARG (0x80070057), component Host, interface IHost, callee nsISupports Context: "CreateHostOnlyNetworkInterface (hif.asOutParam(), progress.asOutParam())" at line 64 of file VBoxManageHostonly.cpp Segmentation fault
We are unable to create the interface. Only manually adding it to the VirtualBox.xml solves the issue.

Bad package version 4.1.12-77218, fixed package version 4.1.12-77245.

Seems like neither the retracted packages nor the fixed version hit the servers yet. Any ETA for the fixed packages?

All packages replaced. Please download + install 4.1.12 again. Thanks for the report.
Important enough to justify a 4.1.12 respin... all 4.1.12 packages are removed from the server already, and new ones will be available in a few hours.
