Floppy Boot Image doesn't boot

Reported by: MNGoldenEagle Owned by:
Component: other Version: VirtualBox 4.1.8

Guest type: other Host type: Windows

Description

I am attempting to use a standard Windows 95-based floppy boot disk image (IMA format) to boot up my VM, but on boot it reports that no bootable disks were found. The very same disk image works if it is written to a floppy and then the host floppy is exposed to the VM.

I have attached the VM log as well as the disk image in question.

I wasn't able to upload the disk image as compression only brought it down to ~610KB. Is there an alternate way of providing this file?

Yes, there is. Please upload this to ftp.oracle.com:appsdev/incoming and tell us the name of the binary so we can fetch it. That FTP account is write-only, that means, public users cannot list or download files.
