Description

If the run the GUEST with RAM as 5GB it crashes with the above error. My Host is Lenovo T400 with 8GB RAM on Win 7 Professional 64 bit. The same VM works stably if I have VM RAM reduced to 3GB.

Virtual Box Version is latest : 4.1.8 r75467 as on 08 Feb 2012

try the resolution from here: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/10219 it worked for me!

Use the following steps on windows 7/Vista 64

  1. Click Start, click Run, type msinfo32 in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Expand Software Environment, and then click Running Tasks.
  3. View the values in the Min Working Set and the Max Working Set columns for each process to determine the process that uses a lot of physical memory.

Note The values in these columns are listed in bytes. The process that is not part of Windows OS and have lot memoery allocated as Max Working Set is culprit.
