Host: Debian Linux 6 x64 + VBox 4.1.8
Squeeze package has broken python support:
http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.1.8/virtualbox-4.1_4.1.8-75467~Debian~squeeze_amd64.deb
The multi-distro installer works:
