Description (last modified by aeichner)

Hi have a Virtual Machine with two snapshot. It work fine but whenever i create snaphost / save state / restore snapshot randomly it stop working. Some times i found the .vbox file corrupted i.e <HardDisks/> tag is as i write empty with no data , but the snapshot are fully described. Last time i create a snapshot, restore a state and similar operation (2 or three operation for testing purpose) and the GUI show that the machine was "inaccesible". Restart the gui i see that i lost the last Snapshot (this time the <HardDisks> tag is not empty). I attach the vbox.log , and i have backup the machine so i can recreate the problem if it could be usefull to help to found a solution.

Thank you

Another info. I use the VBoxManage registervm because i move this machine from another computer. I check the command registervm and i found "The machine must not conflict with one already registered in VirtualBox and it may not have any hard or removable disks attached." Some timex when i move machine i open the machinename.vbox file directly with VirtualBox and the import goes fine.

The import was done some days ago and all work fine even if the machine have attached disks (and relative snapshot), but it seems the when i create other snapshot and/or saved state something gone wrong. May be i could not import the machine in this way, or could not move the machine at all (i have moved a lot of machine without snapshot and they seems to work fine)? Hope this info calrify the context.Thank you

:) glad to be the 10.000 :)!

Yes, i can reproduce the bug on the same machine, or on a previous backup (gzip of the machine directory). The problem appear whenever i create / delete some snapshot. As i say previously i move this machine from another pc copyng the directory that contain the machine, and then registering the VM (with the attached Hard disk and snapshot may be this create the problem?). All work fine but the problem appear pratically every time i create /delete one or two snapshot. If you need i can try to repduce the problem and collect the data you need.
