| #5173 | invalid | software-mode (no VT-x) gives BSOD on XP 64-bit host 3.0.8 | ||
| Description |
I had a perfectly working Ubuntu 8.04 LTS 32-bit guest on a XP 64-bit host using 3.0.6. I was not using VT-x mode, since I read somewhere that it's a tiny bit faster this way. I just upgraded to 3.0.8 and it gives BSOD on the host! Really bad! Once I turned VT-x on, it was all OK. |

| #5237 | fixed | non-VT-X/AMD-V mode broken in 3.0.8 under 64-bit hosts | ||
| Description |
Using 64-bit XP/Vista with 32-bit guests the system gets BSODs or restarts/freezes when VT-x/AMD-v mode is not enabled. Reinstalling 3.0.6 solves the problem. Forum posts: http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23114 |
