#12018 wontfix "Delete all files" Should send to trash or recycle bin Blake Gardner
Description

When you right click on a virtual machine in the main interface and select "Remove..." from the menu you get an option to "Delete all files". This function should just move the files to the trash / recycle bin rather than directly removing them so that a user has a way to recover the files later on if they choose to do so.

#6601 wontfix "Delete snapshot" is actually "merge snapshot" Pau Garcia i Quiles
Description

In the "Snapshots" tab in the GUI, when you right-click on a snapshot there are two options:

  • Restore snapshot
  • Delete snapshot

When clicking "Delete snapshot", the expected behavior would be:

  1. remove the snapshot
  2. return to the state previous to the snapshot

But what it actually does is merging the snapshot into the previous state.

My request: have three options for snapshots:

  • Restore snapshot
  • Merge snapshot with previous state (what "Delete snapshot" currently does
  • Discard snapshot, which would actually remove the snapshot. If there is a child snapshot, this option should not be available (you'd need to use "merge snapshot with previous state" in the child snapshot before being able to discard this snapshot)
#6894 fixed "Devices->Install Guest Additions" doesn't mount the CD on ubuntu guest pablop
Description

I'm using vbox 3.2.2, win7 host, ubuntu lucid 10.04 guest.

I installed a fresh ubuntu guest. When I click on "Install Guest Additions" in the Devices menu I see the VboxGuestAdditions.iso CD checked under Devices->CD/DVD devices but the CD is not mounted on the guest.

When I reboot the guest (no need to restart the VM) the CD is mounted and I can install guest additions.

Even if a previous version of guest additions was installed the CD is not mounted without a reboot.

Thanks
