| #12829 | fixed | Recent Win 7 update kills MS Office 2013 | ||
| Description |
For over 2 years, I have used VB on my Macbook Air with the VM being Windows 7. I loaded Office 2013 on the VM when it became available. It worked fine until a couple days ago, when I did an MS Win 7 update and now Office gives an error msg when I try to open any office product (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. all die). There appears to be some incompatibility between the most recent Win 7 update and running Office 2013 under the VM. MS Project 2013 works just fine, as do Primalscript, Acrobat Pro, Bitvise SSH Client, etc. Any ideas? |

| #14371 | wontfix | VirtualBox 5.x.x is not compatible on 32-bit kernel in OS X | ||
| Description |
I noticed that the extensions of VirtualBox 5.x.x do not include the x86 architecture. Therefore it is impossible to have VirtualBox 5.x.x running on 32-bit kernel. Upon further inspection the 64-bit only extensions are "malformed" under OS X Lion, when loading 64-bit kernel. Thus VirtualBox 5.x.x does not work on Lion. It would be nice to have a minimum system requirements section somewhere. VirtualBox 4.x.x seems to work fine on OS X Lion. Will VirtualBox 5.x.x support Lion in the future and support 32-bit kernel? |
