That sound awfully similar to ticket #17784 (https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/17784). Are you the same reporter? If so, there's an answer waiting for you in the ticket. If not, it's the same case, so take a look at the ticket in any event.

And may I suggest something? It's usually better and faster, if issues get first addressed in the [https://forums.virtualbox.org/ VirtualBox forums]. More than 95% of the issues are resolved over there, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements.

This list is not for reporting generic problems with VirtualBox, the forums are the place for this.
