[vbox-dev] attach CD/DVD aborts the guest

I am still seeing this issue ( version r46388 )

It is tied to 3D somehow.  Disabling it the issue goes away.
Host = Ubuntu 12.04LT guest = any with 3D but I normally use Debian 
based or OEL guests
Host graphics = nVidia

How to produce:
start the guest (3D enabled) click on the device tab and then click the 
CD/DVD and the guest aborts immediately.
It does not even write back to the guest .vbox.
