Thanks for the gentle reminder - I applied the patch a while ago on a 
system which I rarely use so I forgot about it before I was fully done 
(I did notice the missing semicolons in the patch). Since this is an 
extremely low complexity patch... do you need this in VirtualBox 4.2.x?

Regarding Alexey's pending contributions: I'm very sorry that we still 
didn't manage to integrate the contribution of the unattended guest OS 
install feature. It is (inherently) much more complicated, and some of 
the changes in the patch highlight that our code needs to be redesigned 
in a few areas to be truly maintainable in the long run. I consider it a 
great feature addition once the ground has been better prepared, and 
having working code is always an invaluable asset.

For the "hide/show window" feature I also agree that it's very useful, 
however the proposed code isn't really portable and clean enough 
(surviving user logout etc). It will cause problems for "normal" users 
who aren't aware of the limitations. I couldn't think of a clean 
solution yet, however I didn't give up the hope that with some 
brainstorming we can arrive at a slight modification of the idea which 
simply works.
