Thanks for the patch. To be able to use the patch, we have to ask you for MIT or PUEL license for this patch.

I will look into why vboxmouse is not working in Windows 8, most likely need to handle more pnp messages.

Latest svn code, xp sp3 guest, can shutdown w/o problem, but reboot hangs.
After attaching windbg, it displays this message:

When VBoxMouse is disabled, it reboots fine.
Another interesting discovery, when "Enable absolute pointing device" is checked, mouse ingration works very well even if VBoxMouse is disabled.
