It'll take a little time to do the necessary (minor) cleanups necessary 
for integrating the patch. One issue is that the UDP patch would right 
now only be built on Linux and FreeBSD, but no other platform. Not worth 
requesting an updated patch, those small issues are easy enough to fix 
on the fly.
