Not true.  The regular end user has NAT, Bridged, Host-Only, VDE (linux 
host only), & Internal and as such are configurable via VBoxManage.

Example:
So I want to use GNS3 on my Windows 7 and I install VirtualBox from 
VirtualBox.org.  Since I am not compiling this, how do I activate the 
UDP protocol?

All I am saying is think this stuff through.  Make certain that it is 
right before you make it available.
