[vbox-dev] Virtualbox windows Build

Hi,

I have been trying to build VirtualBox (on Windows) from
VirtualBox-4.0.4.tar.bz2 that I obtained from Virtualbox website. I followed
instructions at the Virtualbox website and quite good information that I
obtained from the forums!

1. I ran into an asm.h issue and used the patch described in [asm_patch] to
fix it. Presence of this build issue suggests that the tar-file on
Virtualbox website is not up-to-date. Can somebody please confirm? If yes,
where can I download the exact source code label that was used to build
VirtualBox 4.0.4?

2. When I ran testcases present in the tar-file, I got 67 failed and 46
skipped out of a total of 309 tests. Is this expected?

3. VBOX_PATH_WIX (in config.kmk) is defined as
$(PATH_DEVTOOLS)/win.x86/wix/v2.0.5805.0. There is no wix subdir in
tools/win.x86 directory in the tar-file. Is it supposed to be present? Are
there any instructions on how to build the installer that I can follow?

I will really appreciate if somebody can help me with these questions.
