Forget my last question about how to further install a real virtual
windows. I am succesfull in that. My main problem is only, how to start
a game wich is NOT within the virtual server, wich is installed on a
real ntfs hard drive ?

Hi mr or mrs,

I am not a developer but I try to get in touch with devolopers so i
subscribed. My apologies if this is not the purpose of this list. If so,
then u are allowed to delete me again from that list if u can help me
proper.

I want to get rid of all those windows problems so I try to create a
windows as a virtual machine in opensuse 11.3. My first question about
this is, if it makes me able to play 3d games like World of Warcraft and
Oblivion in the virtual windows server ? If not, then it makes no sence
to go on with this.

I downloaded virtualbox 3.2.8 for opensuse 11.3 x86_64 cause I have dual
core 2 quad q8200 processor (64 bits). When i tryed to start virtualbox,
then it doesn't start at all. And your website gives much information
about installing it in Ubuntu but gives very little information about
installing it in opensuse.

I created a file virtualbox.repo in de /etc/zypp/repos.d map. The file
contains the lines:
[virtualbox]
name=VirtualBox for openSUSE 11.3
baseurl=http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/rpm/opensuse/11.3
type=yum
enabled=1
priority=120
autorefresh=1
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/oracle_vbox.asc
keeppackages=0

And I created a file oracle_vbox.asc with the key within in the same
map. It contains the key:

I use VirtualBox on openSUSE 11.3 and had no problems installing it. I
need the
closed-source version to have USB passthru, thus I use the one from the
web site
rather than the version that YaST would use. I'm not sure that you will
get the
speed needed for gaming on a VM. There is obviously extra overhead. I
use it so
that I can boot into a Windows session without having to shut down
Linux.

Forget about that repo nonsense. Just download the rpm for 11.3 and
install it with

sudo  rpm -i <name of downloaded file>

Depending on your kernel, you may need to have kernel headers, gcc and
make
installed. If you do not want to worry about all of that, then install
the
VirtualBox-OSE package with YaST. ATM, that will be 3.2.6, not 3.2.8.
