[vbox-dev] Linux Guest Additions: Adding More resolutions may be risky

You implemented a new patch:

This may be risky as many legacy Linux guests will use the maximum
resolution (1600x1200), if not stopped by monitor limits.
This is problematic for low resolution monitors and netbooks alike.
Even for big monitors users will feel uncomfortable.

I recommend you to revert this patch for v3.1.x series.

For this to work correctly, VirtualBox must first implement a feature
to limit guest monitor size, like VMware does.
